Delegation of the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG) Hosted by the Northern Technical University

The Northern Technical University welcomed a delegation from the Association of Dutch Municipalities (VNG – Vereniging van Nederlandse Gemeenten) during a visit aimed at strengthening international cooperation and expanding areas of institutional partnership.

During the meeting, discussions were held on ways to enhance joint collaboration and exchange experiences in academic, technical, and administrative fields, particularly regarding the development of institutional capacities, support for training programs, building competencies, and promoting local governance concepts and sustainable management, in line with modern development needs and community service.

The President of the Northern Technical University, Dr. Aliaa’ Abbas Ali Al-Attar, emphasized the university’s commitment to engaging with robust international experiences and benefiting from global expertise to enhance technical education and align it with labor market needs. She praised the role of the Association of Dutch Municipalities in supporting local development projects and capacity building.

For their part, the members of the delegation expressed their appreciation for the university’s academic and scientific level, valuing the efforts of its leadership in supporting development and modernization initiatives, and reiterated their desire to establish effective partnerships that contribute to the implementation of joint programs and projects with a sustainable impact.

This meeting forms part of the Northern Technical University’s strategy to enhance its international presence and expand its network of relationships with global institutions and organizations, positively impacting the educational process and local community service.
