On January 5, 2025, Assistant Professor Dr. Abdul-Barr Ahmed Nouri, Director of the Technical Research Center, and Assistant Professor Afrah Younis Jassim, Head of the Natural Products Department, participated in the defense of a master’s thesis in the field of Animal Production Technology. The thesis is titled:

“The Effect of Fenugreek Seed Extract Injection into Eggs on the Physiological and Productive Performance of Broiler Chickens”

The thesis, submitted by the student Reem Osama Ahmed, investigates the impact of injecting fertilized eggs with fenugreek seed extract and its subsequent effects on the physiological and productive traits of broiler chickens. The research explores how these compounds might influence growth, development, and overall poultry health.

Objectives of the Thesis

The study aimed to:

•Examine the impact of injecting fertilized eggs on the 10th day of incubation with fenugreek seed extract on hatching traits.

•Assess the effect of incorporating fenugreek seeds into the feed starting from the first day post-hatch until day 35 on the physiological and productive performance of broiler chickens.

Following the presentation and defense of her thesis, as well as a thorough discussion with the examination committee, the thesis was accepted with an “Excellent” grade.
