Cooperation in the field of libraries with international universities.

Under the patronage and guidance of the esteemed President of the Northern Technical University, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar,
the Department of Scholarships and Cultural Relations organized a meeting between the Director of the Central Library at our university, Dr. Ali Qasim Saeed, and the Library Officer at UPM University, Malaysia. The meeting was attended by the Head of the Medical Equipment Department, Dr. Hassan Maysar Qasim. During the meeting, possible avenues of cooperation between the two universities in the field of libraries were discussed. During the first meeting, preliminary agreements were reached, including:
1. Providing access to UPM’s digital repository for our university members and graduate students.
2. Providing access to some closed research through special requests submitted by our university library.
3. Holding development workshops in research areas and library systems.
It was also agreed to organize other future meetings that would contribute to the development of our university library for the benefit of our members and students. UPM is ranked among the top 150 universities in the world and has a distinguished academic reputation.
