Convening of the Council of the Technical Engineering College / Mosul in its Eighth Open Session for the Academic Year 2025–2026

The Council of the Technical Engineering College / Mosul held its eighth open session, chaired by the President of the Northern Technical University and Dean of the College, Professor Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and attended by all council members. The council discussed a number of academic and administrative items on its agenda, as follows:

– Results of the first course for first-year undergraduate students, and analysis of relevant academic indicators.
– Hosting Mr. Karam Hashim, Director of the Student Affairs and Registration Department, to discuss the latest updates regarding the (HEPIC) program. Updates on student data were reviewed, transfer issues were addressed, and the mechanism for organizing the program and overcoming associated obstacles was discussed.
– Directing department heads to notify students that entry to exams will not be permitted unless the official requirements of the (HEPIC) program are completed, emphasizing strict adherence to instructions.
– Matters concerning postgraduate students in completing their discussion requirements, emphasizing that no second extension will be granted except in accordance with the regulations and instructions in force.
– Emphasizing the holding of scientific exhibitions and the organization of conferences and academic events that contribute to enhancing the institutional presence and academic reputation of the college, with instructions for departments to submit a detailed plan within one week including proposals for the activities to be implemented.
– Forming special committees for ISO systems (for energy and others), under the supervision of the head of the Quality Assurance Division.
– Launching a comprehensive campaign to follow up on the status of lecture halls and laboratories, emphasizing the fulfillment of accreditation requirements related to infrastructure.
– Discussing matters related to undergraduate students and the administrative and financial affairs of the college.
– Discussing other items included on the council’s agenda.
