Under the patronage of Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, President of the Northern Technical University, and under the supervision of Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajjari, Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, the Quality Assurance Division—in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Department at the University Presidency and within the framework of sustainable development activities—concluded a training course titled “Smart Agriculture and Sustainable Food Production.”

• The course was delivered by a distinguished group of faculty members:

• The course aimed to:

• Introduce participants to the concepts of smart agriculture and its role in enhancing agricultural productivity.

• Strengthen knowledge regarding modern technologies such as smart irrigation systems, remote sensing, and drone applications in crop monitoring.

• Promote the culture of sustainable food production and reduce resource waste.

• Enable participants to use digital tools for agricultural planning and management.

• The course concluded with several key recommendations:

1. Adoption of smart agriculture systems in agricultural institutions and research fields.

2. Encouraging students and researchers to develop studies related to sustainability and agricultural innovation.

3. Increasing coordination among scientific departments to exchange expertise in agricultural technology.

4. Establishing continuous training platforms to follow the latest global technologies.

5. Urging relevant authorities to support digital agricultural transformation projects to enhance national food security.
