Capacity Building Course in Mediation…

Last week marked the conclusion of the Capacity Building Course in Mediation organized by the Francophone University Agency (AUF) in the Middle East, hosted by Saint Joseph University in Lebanon in collaboration with the Francophone Corner Unit in the Department of Missions and Cultural Relations at the NTU Via virtual means.
The course aimed at :
Equip participants with the knowledge and skills necessary for effective mediation, covering various topics such as:
Principles and ethics of mediation.
Stages of mediation.
Negotiation skills and conflict resolution.
Techniques of effective communication.
Practical applications in the field of mediation.

Over 30 participants from various departments of NTU took part in this course. They expressed their satisfaction and considering it a valuable opportunity to enhance their mediation skills.
Dr. Omar Hazem Mohammed, the head of the Francophone Corner Unit at the Northern Technical University, expressed gratitude to the Francophone University Agency for organizing the course, emphasizing the importance of mediation in conflict resolution and peace promotion. Ms. Najlaa Houlie, the course supervisor from Saint Joseph University in Lebanon, affirmed the success of the course by all measures, noting the participants’ significant commitment to learning and applying what they learned.
This inaugural course, conducted in collaboration with the Francophone University Agency, marks a significant milestone for the Northern Technical University, and further advanced courses are expected to be organized in the future.
