Northern Technical University (NTU) signs a letter of intent with Bahçeşehir University (BAU) – Turkish Cyprus to enhance academic and scientific cooperation.

Based on Northern Technical University’s commitment to building strategic partnerships with regional and international universities, and with the aim of raising the level of higher education and strengthening its academic standing, Assistant Professor Dr. Nabil Mukhlef Abdul Razzaq, Director of the Quality Assurance Department at Northern Technical University, represented the Northern Technical University Presidency in the scientific meeting convened by Bahçeşehir University in Turkey/Cyprus, with the participation of a select group of universities.
During the meeting, extensive discussions were held on ways to expand cooperation between Northern Technical University and Bahçeşehir University (BAU) – Turkish Cyprus. Areas of joint work that could contribute to the educational and research process were reviewed, most notably:
• Launching academic exchange programs between faculty and students, allowing for the exchange of international expertise and experience.
• Implementing joint research projects that contribute to addressing scientific and technical issues of common interest.
• Organizing scientific conferences and workshops to exchange ideas and visions and enhance knowledge cooperation.
• Cooperation in the field of quality assurance and academic accreditation to ensure the development of institutional performance and the achievement of standards of excellence.
• Opening up prospects for cooperation in developing curricula in line with the requirements of the local and regional labor market.
The meeting led to the signing of a letter of intent between the two universities, a strategic step toward strengthening academic and research partnerships and paving the way for the conclusion of detailed cooperation agreements in the near future. These agreements will contribute to achieving the Northern Technical University’s vision of opening up to international universities and exchanging expertise, which will positively impact the progress of higher education in Iraq.
