Al-Door Technical Institute organized a discussion entitled “Preparing and Qualifying Students for the Job Market” in May of this year

sponsored by Professor Aliaa Abbas Al-Atar, the respectable university president, and supervised by Assistant Professor Maha Al-Taif Jasim, the dean of the institute, in collaboration with the Rehabilitation and Employment Unit at the institute. The discussion was led by M.M. Noor Amer Fadel, a teaching assistant in the department, and targeted second-stage students.
The discussion aimed to:
1. Highlight the importance of academically preparing students for their specialized tasks and training them on the basics they need in their future work.
2. Encourage students to hone their skills and prepare themselves well for the upcoming training period.
3. Identify the requirements for training in the job market, what those skills are, and how they can be mastered.
The discussion also emphasized:
The need to focus on aligning higher education outcomes with job market requirements and how universities can meet the new 1. needs of the job market and society in the context of employment preparation.
2. The basis upon which the issue of qualification rests is for students to actually engage in work environments similar to what awaits them after graduation, through summer training.
3. Building a database of information about institutions and companies that employ graduates.
