Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Al-Attar, and under the guidance of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajary, the Women’s Affairs Unit, in cooperation with the Anti-Corruption Unit at the college, organized an awareness seminar titled “Violence Against Women.”

The seminar was delivered by:

• Assist. Prof. Dr. Doaa Qasim Sabri

• Lecturer Ghadeer Mukhlis Mouloud

• Mr. Abdullah Abdul-Sattar Mohammed

The seminar addressed various forms and types of violence, along with its psychological and social impacts. It also reviewed laws and regulations that ensure the protection of women, as well as mechanisms to reduce this phenomenon within society and educational institutions.

The seminar concluded with several recommendations, including:

1. Enhancing community awareness about the seriousness of violence and its negative impacts.

2. Activating the role of psychological counseling units in educational institutions.

3. Providing safe communication channels for women to report cases of violence.

4. Organizing continuous workshops and training courses to promote a culture of respect and empowerment of women.

5. Supporting initiatives concerned with protecting women and providing a safe educational environment.
