Under the patronage of the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alyaa Abbas Al-Attar, and under the guidance of the Dean of the Agricultural Technical College, Prof. Dr. Shihab Ahmed Al-Bajjari, the Quality Assurance and University Performance Division at the Agricultural Technical College, in cooperation with the Quality Assurance Department at the University Presidency, organized a scientific seminar within the activities of sustainable development entitled:

“Conservation Agriculture Practices for the Protection of Natural Resources.”

The seminar was delivered by Asst. Prof. Dr. Jassim Abdullah Hayawi.

The seminar addressed the importance of adopting conservation agriculture practices that contribute to preserving natural resources, improving soil health, and enhancing sustainable agricultural productivity. It also highlighted the role of modern agricultural methods in maintaining environmental balance and supporting long-term agricultural sustainability.

The seminar concluded with several important recommendations, including:

• Promoting awareness of sustainable agriculture practices.

• Encouraging government support for farmers.

• Providing agricultural training and extension services.

• Utilizing modern technologies in irrigation and farming practices.

The seminar was attended by a number of faculty members and staff of the Agricultural Technical College – Mosul, reflecting the college’s commitment to supporting scientific activities that contribute to sustainable development and environmental preservation.
