 The Accreditation Division is one of the key divisions within the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at Northern Technical University. It plays a pivotal role in supporting the university’s efforts to achieve recognized local and international quality and accreditation standards. The division is committed to fostering a culture of quality and enhancing institutional and academic performance through the implementation of policies and standards set by the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research.

To fulfill the requirements of programmatic and institutional accreditation across all university formations by building effective quality systems and providing the necessary technical and administrative support to academic and administrative units, ensuring continuous improvement and advancement in educational and institutional performance.
 

Key Responsibilities of the Accreditation Division

  1. Monitoring the implementation of institutional and programmatic accreditation standards across all university formations, in coordination with relevant internal and external bodies.
  2. Preparing periodic reports and self-assessment documents related to institutional and program accreditation, and documenting the required evidence and indicators as per the standards of accrediting bodies.
  3. Providing technical support and consultation to colleges and institutes in preparing accreditation files and developing academic program documentation.
  4. Building and maintaining comprehensive databases on the accreditation status of programs and university formations to facilitate follow-up and evaluation.
  5. Organizing specialized workshops and training courses in accreditation and quality assurance to enhance the capacity of academic and administrative staff.
  6. Monitoring the quality performance of scientific and engineering laboratories and ensuring compliance with national laboratory accreditation requirements.
  7. Coordinating evaluation and audit visits with ministerial committees or accrediting bodies, supporting review teams, and providing necessary documentation.
  8. Contributing to the development of manuals and policies related to institutional and programmatic accreditation in collaboration with the Quality Assurance Unit and relevant committees.
  9. Supporting continuous improvement projects based on the results of internal and external evaluations and accreditation requirements.
  10. Maintaining ongoing communication with national and international accreditation bodies to stay updated on standards and to exchange expertise and best practices.
