A Researcher from the University Publishes a Paper in IEEE Access with a Research Team from Malaysia’s UKM University

A researcher from the Northern Technical University has published a scientific paper in the journal IEEE Access in collaboration with a research team from Universiti Kebangsaan Malaysia (UKM).

Dr. Ahmed Subaih Yousif, Head of the Department of Information Technology Management at the Mosul Technical Administrative College, succeeded in publishing the research with his team in IEEE Access, a scientific journal indexed in Scopus and Web of Science (WoS), ranked in the first quartile (Q1) and possessing an internationally recognized impact factor.

This achievement comes within the framework of the rapid development in the field of Machine Learning. The study is titled:

“An Improved CNN for Automatic Localization of Pure Orbital Blowout Fractures in CT Images.”

The study presents an intelligent system capable of accurately locating fractures within CT images of Pure Orbital Blowout Fractures (POBF). These fractures are thin and difficult to detect, often characterized by low contrast and anatomical complexity around the eye.

This scientific publication reflects the level of research advancement at the Northern Technical University and the Mosul Technical Administrative College, and confirms their active presence on the global scientific research map.
