Under the auspices of Prof. Dr. Alia’a al-Attar, the president of Northern Technical University, and the supervision of Dr. Abdul Nasser Kashmola, the Dean of Mosul Technical Institute, the Department of Communication and Electronic Techniques organized a workshop entitled: The Water and Sustainable Development

The workshop aimed to:

1. Raise awareness about the importance of water as a fundamental element in sustainable development, especially in vital sectors such as agriculture, industry, and health.
2. Introduce the challenges facing water resources globally and locally, such as climate change, water scarcity, and pollution.
3. Promote the concepts of integrated water management, including rational use, recycling technologies, and the protection of water sources.
4. Support partnerships between different sectors (governmental, academic, and civil organizations) to achieve sustainable development goals related to water.

Recommendations:

1. Enhance integrated water resources management.
2. Develop the infrastructure for water networks.
3. Disseminate community awareness.
4. Address the impacts of climate change.
