Under the auspices of Dr. Prof. Aliaa al-Attar, the President of Northern Technical University, and the the supervision of Asst. Prof. Dr. Abdul Nasser Kashmola, the Dean of Mosul Technical Institute, The Civil Engineering Department, in collaboration with the Scientific Unit, held a seminar titled: “Methods for Improving the Properties of Collapsible Soil.”

The seminar was presented by Dr. Harith Ibrahim Ali, an Assistant Professor.

The seminar aimed to: Explore methods for enhancing soil properties and develop an approach to manage collapsible soil instead of resorting to its replacement.

Seminar Recommendations:

1. To organize training workshops and development courses for engineers and technicians working in infrastructure implementation, with the goal of strengthening their expertise in handling weak soil.
2. To urge the relevant bodies involved in executing construction projects to consider scientific recommendations during the design and implementation stages to prevent future issues.
