Under the auspices of Dr. Aliaa al-Attar, the Rector of Northern Technical University, and the supervision of Abdul Nassir Kashmola, the Dean of Mosul Technical Institute, the Department of Civil Techniques organized a scientific tour to Mosul Dam Project for second year students.

The visit aimed to bridge the gap between theoretical knowledge students acquire in the field of construction and practical application, thereby enhancing their understanding of civil engineering techniques and construction technologies used in major projects. The program included a field tour inside the dam, where students learned about the dam’s operational mechanism, maintenance methods, and the engineering challenges it faces, in addition to the technologies used to reinforce and improve its performance. A number of faculty members and staff from the department accompanied the students during the visit.
