The Program Accreditation Unit is one of the main units within the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance at the Northern Technical University. It aims to support and develop academic programs in accordance with nationally and internationally recognized accreditation standards. The unit strives to promote a culture of quality and accreditation within the university, contributing to institutional excellence and the advancement of higher education standards.

Duties of the Program Accreditation Unit

The Program Accreditation Unit at the Department of Quality Assurance and University Performance undertakes a set of core responsibilities aimed at developing and ensuring the quality of academic programs. The main duties of the unit include:

  1. Preparing Academic Programs for Accreditation
    Aligning academic programs with the requirements of national and international accreditation bodies and providing technical support to colleges and institutes throughout the process.

  2. Reviewing and Updating Curricula
    Collaborating with academic committees to develop curricula that achieve intended learning outcomes in accordance with quality standards and labor market needs.

  3. Preparing Accreditation Files and Self-Study Reports
    Collecting data and documenting procedures required to prepare comprehensive accreditation files, and ensuring their completion in line with approved standards.

  4. Organizing Workshops and Training Seminars
    Conducting training sessions and awareness programs to equip faculty and administrative staff with knowledge of accreditation processes and requirements.

  5. Monitoring Ongoing Program Evaluation
    Regularly tracking academic performance indicators for programs and following up on the implementation of improvement plans based on internal and external evaluations.

  6. Promoting a Culture of Quality and Accreditation
    Raising awareness of the importance of academic accreditation and quality assurance within the university environment and encouraging active participation by faculty members.
