It was established in 2018, and aims to increase the efficiency of water use by using smart or controlled irrigation techniques based on mobile devices, the Internet or other means of communication.
Department goals
Increasing the efficiency of water use by using smart or controlled irrigation techniques based on mobile devices, the Internet or other means of communication
Implementation of dry farming programs, water reuse, and water harvesting
Diagnosing signs of desertification and predicting their effects using computers, resisting wind erosion and stabilizing sand dunes.
Producing plant varieties resistant to drought and desert environment
