With a well-thought-out and scientific plan, and with vigorous follow-up from the President of the Northern Technical University, Mrs. Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar and under the supervision of Assistant Professor Dr. Sami Reda Aslan, Dean of the Kirkuk Engineering Technical College, the Kirkuk Technical College of Engineering received today a delegation from the Ministry of Higher Education and Scientific Research, who met with the administrative and scientific staff in the college to discuss the development of a doctoral study in the Department of Power Mechanics Techniques Engineering. Seeing the provision of highly qualified teaching staff and the provision of classrooms and scientific laboratories to graduate students with high experience in the field of mechanical engineering.
Dr. Sami Reda Aslan, Dean of the Technical College of Engineering, Kirkuk confirmed, “The introduction of graduate studies in engineering disciplines comes in line with the scientific development and vertical expansion in the study and specialization of the doctorate and in order to raise the scientific and academic level of the college and provide the opportunity for students to complete their studies, which ensures the qualification of an advanced scientific cadre in such specializations vitality, adding that the college provided all the material and human capabilities that would ensure exemplary postgraduate studies and the graduation of a distinguished scientific cadre.
It is worth noting that the Kirkuk Engineering Technical College is witnessing a great scientific and urban renaissance within a short period, since the President of the Northern Technical University, Prof. Dr. Alia Abbas Ali Al-Attar, assumed the presidency of the Northern Technical University through the development of evening studies and graduate studies, as well as the development in the field of construction through Expansion of classrooms, laboratories, workshops and public facilities to accommodate the largest number of students.
The committee has expressed its positive impressions towards the exceptional efforts exerted in preparing and establishing the appropriate halls and laboratories for the development of this study. The opening of a doctoral study in the Department of Power Mechanics Techniques is a qualitative addition that will provide the country and the governorate with scientific competencies that will help in the renaissance in supporting the infrastructure, and also contribute to the production of professors who have the ability to assume educational responsibility in the service of our society and our dear country.
It is worth noting that it will be introduced from the next academic year 2022-2023.
